Graphite is a non-metallic mineral with a very high carbon content. It has a wide range of applications, mainly in industry, engineering, construction, building materials, and chemical industries.
The raw material of graphite powder is graphite ore. Ultra-fine graphite powder is produced by a complete set of grinding production lines.
First, the graphite stones are coarsely broken by a crusher, and then ground by an ultra-fine mill. The fine powder with qualified fineness is delivered by the heat of the fan through the classification The air supplied by the machine is sent to the powder collector through the pipeline to be packaged.
Graphite powder types include nano graphite powder, ultra-fine graphite powder, high-purity graphite powder, casting graphite powder, flake graphite powder, expanded graphite powder, reagent graphite powder, graphite powder coating and graphite powder for carbon brushes. It is widely used in foundry industry, agriculture, electrical conductivity and chemistry.
Uses of graphite powder
1. Graphite powder can be used as a mold release lubricant in the production of catalysts in the chemical fertilizer industry.
2. Graphite powder has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and high lubricity, and can be used as the base material of high temperature resistant lubricant and corrosion resistant lubricant base material.
3. Graphite powder can be used as a powder metallurgy release agent and metal alloy raw material, as well as a lubricant in cable production.
4. Graphite powder is used to make carbon film resistors, conductive dry molds and to prepare conductive coatings.
5. Graphite powder is used as a filler or performance improver for rubber, plastic and various composite materials to improve the wear resistance, compression resistance or conductivity of the material.
HGM graphite powder grinding mill
CLIRIK's HGM series ultra-fine grinder can produce ultra-fine graphite powder with a fineness of 325 mesh to 2500 mesh.
The HGM ultra-fine grinding mill adopts a multi-head ultra-fine grade machine, and the product fineness can be adjusted between 325 mesh and 2500 mesh (5μm-40μm). It can be widely used in the ultrafine grinding of graphite, limestone, calcite, marble, heavy calcium, kaolin, barite, bentonite, pyrophyllite and other non-metallic mineral products. It is a highly efficient, high-yield, environmentally friendly and energy-saving ultra-fine powder processing equipment .
Working principle of HGM graphite mill
1. Hammer crushing/jaw crushing crushes large pieces of graphite into particles smaller than 20mm
2. Feed the graphite into the silo through the elevator
3. The guide tube feeds the graphite into the turntable in the main machine of the mill
4.When the grinding mill is at work, the main bearing and each dial are driven by electromotor through reducer, and all the grinding rollers are rolling in the ring channels driving by dial through plunger.
The graphite lumps are driven to the edge of the turnplate by centrifugal force and fall down into the grinding chambers. The high-pressure air blower constantly inhales air, airflow with crushed graphite are brought to classifier whose high-speed impeller will screen the airflow:
5. The unqualified particle size will fall and return to the mill for being reground while the qualified particle size mixed with air will go into the cyclone powder collector.
Most of the qualified graphite powders will fall and exit from the discharging valve at the bottom; A small proportion of the fine powders, with airflow, moves to the dust cleaner. The graphite powder from the above two lots are sent by the conveyor to get finished powders packed. In addition, filtered clean air will be emitted from the muffler in the end.
